Natural Organic Vegetable Gardening Nature Knows Best

Sharing over 100 years of experience in natural organic vegetable gardening. From the garden of Eden (which is about how old we are) to modern organic practices.

I, Allan, was born in 1955. My wife, Elena, was a newer model and she arrived on this planet in 1957. Our journey through life has been shaped by a tapestry of experiences, each thread woven into the fabric of our personal history. At the tender age of 8, I was orphaned and was adopted by my Fathers brother. This unfortunately did not end well, with the end result of me being sent to live with my grandmother. She lived on a small farm approximately 5 miles outside of Gwelo, a town in the midlands of Rhodesia.

This is where I discovered my passion for gardening on my grandmother's farm, with wonderful orchards of all sorts of fruit, Oranges, Nectarines, Apples, Plums, Tree Tomatoes, Peaches figs, right down to prickly pears and many different vegetables including Comfry, Rosella, Rhubarb. The rich, earthy scents and the gentle hum of nature became my companions as I learned the art of nurturing plants. With every seed sown and every weed pulled, I unearthed not only the secrets of the soil but also a profound connection to my roots. This early foray into gardening instilled in me a lifelong appreciation for the beauty of nature and the joy of cultivating life, setting the stage for the many adventures and my remarkable journey.

On the side, I had my own Bantams and Guinea Pigs which I used to breed and sell. In all honesty, I was a busy little bee.
